CLAY MATTERS

ONLINE CONVERSATIONS

Upcoming Events:

Calling all eco-conscious clay artists.

Share your ideas and actions for a sustainable future in an online public forum.

Monday 3 March at 6.30 – 7.30 pm AEST

As part of Clay Matters Conversations 2025, Clay Matters invites artists working with clay and committed to ecological sustainability, resource responsibility, and environmental care to join the conversation. Have you heard of The Potter’s Pledge? In 2021, Clay Matters, with the support of the Australian ceramic community, published this call to action for clay workers and studios to embrace sustainable practices. Three years later, we would love to hear YOUR stories!

How are you working with or going beyond The Potter’s Pledge?

Share your inspiring examples of creativity, adaptability, and advocacy. ‘beyond’ could mean advocacy outside the studio, innovation within the studio, new clay practices – or something else. YOUR inspiring “beyond the pledge” stories (with permission of course) could be featured at the Australian Ceramics Triennale 2025.

Let’s build a more sustainable future for ceramics together!
